Make your farmers market shopping list! Here’s what’s in season this February:

Returning and plentiful this month (weather willing):
Beets, baby carrots, blood oranges, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, chard, chicories, collard greens, fennel, flowering branches, grapefruit, green garlic, kumquats, lettuces, mandarins, Meyer lemons, nettles, pea shoots, plant starts, pomelos, radishes, spring onions, sorrel, spinach, tulips, turnips

Returning for the season this month:
Asparagus (Zuckerman predicts to start harvesting in late February), Avocados (mid-February)

Winding down or available only in limited supply:
Apples and pears (cold storage), some citrus varieties, potatoes, sunchokes, winter squash

Value-added and vendor items not to be missed:
