About

Sightglass is an independent San Francisco-based specialty coffee company founded by brothers Jerad and Justin Morrison in 2009. The two long-time coffee professionals and those in their employ take an immersive and holistic approach to specialty coffee, clearly illuminating sourcing, roasting, and preparation practices within dynamic community gathering spaces. All coffees are sensory roasted with great care to showcase the finest and often, most nuanced, characteristics of each.

Sourcing

Sightglass sources freshly harvested coffees through direct relationships with producers and cooperatives committed to exceptional quality and sustainable business practices. Throughout the year, Sightglass’ green coffee buyer visits farms, washing stations, and cooperatives in Central & South America, Africa, and the Pacific Islands to check in with producers, sample coffees, and negotiate prices directly, paying a premium for quality.

Fun Fact

With transparency as a core value, Sightglass takes its name from the small window on the front of the roaster that allows one to see the coffee roasting within.
