Heena and Paresh Patel
Heena and Paresh ran a specialty wine store in Marin for over 20 years before opening their passion project, Rasoi. By mixing tradition and innovation, Rasoi serves a range of traditional Gujarati Indian food, drinks, and thalis inspired by the California’s local produce. Valuing the tradition of evolution, Rasoi offers dishes such as homemade tava naan stuffed with blue cheese, raita with wasabi, and pakoras with tapioca. They embrace difference, making for uniquely delicious food. Heena and Paresh see the farmers market as a celebration of culture and community.
Rasoi sources fresh ingredients from CUESA’s farmers and other local farmers markets. The fun challenge of adapting to seasonality and local produce varietals helps develop the flavors of their uniquely Californian-Indian cuisine. Their rotating menu of “wraps” best highlight their market veggies and greens.
