Cocktail ~ Basil Gimlet

This recipe was demonstrated on May 14, 2008 at a cocktail demonstration and tasting event during San Francisco Cocktail Week.

Makes one cocktail

INGREDIENTS:
2 oz Square One Organic Vodka
1 Lisbon Lemon (squeezed) (limes will also work)
5 Fresh Basil Leaves
1/2 oz simple syrup

PREPARATION:

In a mixing glass, add basil leaves and squeeze the lemons into the glass with a citrus press. Press the basil with a muddler. Add simple syrup, vodka, and top with ice. Shake and strain contents.
