Cocktail: Summer Song

INGREDIENTS

2 ounces Junipero gin
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
.75 ounce St. Germain Elderflower liqueur
.5 ounce ginger solution*
3 ripe blackberries
1 cube of watermelon
Pinch of mint
Blackberries for garnish


PREPARATION

Muddle blackberries, watermelon, and mint in the bottom of a mixing glass. Add Junipero, lemon juice, St. Germain and ginger solution. Shake for 15 seconds and double strain over crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig pierced blackberry.

For the ginger solution
Place equal parts sugar, ginger, a water into a blender or food processor. Puree until thoroughly mixed. Strain the solids out through a chinoise or cheese cloth. Can be stored in a squeeze bottle in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
