Volunteers are significant members of our team. If you are interested in becoming a CUESA volunteer, please read through our volunteer handbook and fill out an application, below. We also ask that all volunteers attend an orientation. The next volunteer orientation date is May 29. Email cindy@cuesa.org if you are interested in attending.

Here are brief descriptions of some of the volunteer opportunities available at CUESA. For more detailed descriptions, click the link at the bottom of this page to download our Volunteer Handbook. Click here for an idea of how actual volunteers feel about the program.

Communications Volunteer
Help with promotion of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and its educational programs in support of CUESA’s mission. Assist with other administrative and office tasks.

Culinary Programs Volunteer
Help with CUESA’s culinary education programs such as cooking demonstrations and market tastings.

Database Management Volunteer
Help with data entry and management of current database systems.

Education Programs Volunteer
Under supervision, help develop, create, maintain, and evaluate special projects in support of CUESA’s educational mission. Some projects are ongoing; some are finite.

Education Special Projects Volunteer
Assist in the preparation, promotion, and management of educational programs in support of CUESA’s mission. Write or research content or articles for the e-letter and website.

Information Booth Volunteer
Help set up, manage, and take down Information Booth at the farmers market. Answer questions, provide various services, and promote CUESA programs and events.

Photography Volunteer
Take photographs in support of CUESA programs, events, displays, website, and marketing and media efforts.

Special Events Volunteer
Under supervision, assist in the preparation, promotion, and execution of special events and fundraising event programs in support of CUESA’s mission.

Waste Wise Volunteer
Waste Wise stations during the farmers market and assist shoppers with the correct placement of discarded materials.

Website Volunteer
Help update or input new information directly to the CUESA website.
