83 acres in Fairfield, about 50 miles from the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.
Larry and Maria Glashoff along with 2 full-time and 4 seasonal employees; their 3 children, and extended family help with farmers markets throughout the year.
Larry started growing boysenberries in 4H when he was just 12 years old. Even though he has a full-time job working at a nearby wholesale nursery, Larry is dedicated to maintaining his small family farm. All of the Glashoff’s preserves, jellies, juices, and syrups are made by hand on the farm.
They remove some pests and weeds by hand and apply synthetic pesticides and herbicides to the remaining.
The Glashoffs use synthetic fertilizers to maintain soil fertility.
Drip, flood and sprinkler irrigation.
