Stop by CUESA’s Jack London Square Farmers Market in Oakland for a cooking demo with Executive Chef Daniel Capra of Paula LeDuc Fine Catering, featuring the seasonal bounty of the Jack London Square Farmers Market.
Daniel spent time cooking in Virginia Beach, Washington, D.C. and New Orleans before making his way to San Francisco, where he is now Executive Chef at Paula LeDuc Fine Catering. He enjoys a bounty of local ingredients, preparing simple dishes that allow key flavors to come forward. He’s a fool for butter and duck fat but also cooks light and healthfully. He has prepared meals for the likes of President Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, George Lucas, The James Beard Foundation and HRH Prince Charles. Drawing inspiration from adventures throughout California, the Pacific Northwest, the Southern US, Italy, Spain and Thailand, Daniel creates seasonal menus for 10 or 2,000 guests as part of his daily routine. Daniel is a Chef Chair for CUESA’s annual fundraising galas and an Oakland resident who enjoys shopping at the Jack London Square Farmers market.
All demos take place at the CUESA Classroom (adjacent to the info booth at Broadway & Water Street) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
