This Sunday, July 22, visit Far West Fungi's indoor mushroom farm in Moss Landing, then walk the fields of Yerena Farms with Poli Yerena and learn about how he tends his 17 acres of organic berries near Castroville. This week’s feature: Food news

There has seldom been a more interesting time in the world of food. Public awareness about food origins, policies, and safety seems to be at an all-time high, and America's food system is more complicated than ever. This week, the House Agriculture Committee passed a draft of the 2007 Farm Bill that is expected to reach the full House next week. As you probably know by now, this omnibus piece of legislation has a huge impact on, among other things, what America grows and eats.
