Thanks to everyone who participated in CUESA’s Harvest Festival on Saturday, especially all of our amazing pie contest entrants and judges! We had 25 pie submissions, and the competition was close. Many of the pies included an array of fall produce from the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and other local farms.
Congratulations to our first, second, and third prize winners: Catherine Palmer with Sweet Potato Pecan Pie, Ze Xiao with Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, and Raymundus Butarbutar with Chai Caramel Butternut Pie (click on the pie names for recipes).
Thank you, again, to our judges: Rebecca Courchesne of Frog Hollow Farm, Anna Derivi-Castellanos and Lenore Estrada of Three Babes Bakeshop, Shauna Des Voignes of Knead Patisserie, Karen Heisler of Mission Pie, John Lagier of Lagier Ranches, John Pauley of Mattarello, Stephanie Rosenbaum of Bay Area Bites, and Anna Roth of SF Weekly.
